Lab Testing & COA Policy
Virgin Islands Exotics, LLC (“VI Exotics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to product transparency, accurate batch identification, and providing customers with access to laboratory documentation associated with the products they receive.
Batch-Specific Transparency
VI Exotics products are identified by individual batches or lots to support accurate product documentation and traceability.
Laboratory results, cannabinoid information, and other batch-specific details relate only to the batch identified on the applicable product packaging or compliance label and should not be assumed to represent any other batch, strain, or product.
Because hemp is an agricultural product, cannabinoid concentrations and other characteristics may naturally vary between strains, harvests, and batches.
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
A Certificate of Analysis (“COA”) is laboratory documentation containing analytical information associated with a particular product batch.
Where applicable, VI Exotics provides access to the corresponding COA through a QR code or other reference appearing on the product’s compliance label or packaging.
Customers are encouraged to review the COA associated with their specific product.
QR Code Access
VI Exotics products may include a QR code on the applicable compliance label or packaging to provide convenient access to batch-specific laboratory documentation.
Customers should use the QR code associated with the specific product and batch in their possession.
If a QR code becomes unavailable, cannot be scanned, or does not properly display the applicable documentation, customers may contact VI Exotics for assistance locating the relevant COA.
Product Label Information
The compliance label applied to a VI Exotics product may contain batch-specific information including, where applicable:
- Product or strain name
- Net weight
- Batch or lot identification
- THCa content
- Delta-9 THC content
- Additional cannabinoid information
- Testing or laboratory information
- QR code or other reference to the applicable COA
- Additional information required by applicable law or for the particular product or jurisdiction
Information appearing on a compliance label should be considered together with the laboratory documentation associated with the identified batch.
Understanding Laboratory Results
Cannabinoid concentrations and other analytical results may vary naturally between batches.
Values appearing on a COA represent laboratory findings associated with the sample tested for the identified batch. Those results should not be assumed to represent another batch of the same strain or another VI Exotics product.
Customers should rely on the COA and product information corresponding to the exact batch or lot identified on the product they receive.
Laboratory Testing Does Not Guarantee Legal Status
Laboratory testing and a COA provide analytical information regarding a tested sample. They do not independently determine whether possession, sale, shipment, transportation, or use of a particular product is lawful in every jurisdiction.
Hemp and cannabinoid laws may differ between federal, state, territorial, and local jurisdictions and may change over time.
Product availability is therefore subject to applicable law and the Product Compliance Policy.
Documentation & Record-keeping
VI Exotics maintains applicable product and batch documentation as part of its quality-control, compliance, and record-keeping practices.
Customers who need assistance locating documentation associated with a particular product may contact VI Exotics and provide the applicable batch or lot information when available.
VI Exotics may retain additional internal records that are not intended for public disclosure where appropriate for legitimate business, compliance, legal, quality-control, or record-keeping purposes.
No Medical or Therapeutic Claims
Laboratory testing and COAs are provided for product transparency and analytical information.
A COA should not be interpreted as medical advice or as evidence that a product will provide any particular medical, therapeutic, health, or wellness benefit.
VI Exotics does not market its products as intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Nothing contained in a COA, product label, website, communication, or other VI Exotics material should be interpreted as medical advice.
FDA Disclaimer
VI Exotics products have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of any disease or medical condition.
Laboratory testing, Certificates of Analysis, QR codes, cannabinoid information, or other product documentation provided by VI Exotics do not constitute or imply FDA approval, certification, authorization, or endorsement of any product.
Product Characteristics
Hemp flower is a natural agricultural product. Appearance, aroma, color, density, moisture, cannabinoid concentrations, terpene profiles, and other characteristics may vary between strains and batches.
Such natural variation does not necessarily indicate that a product differs from the batch documentation associated with it.
